About The City :
Being one of the popular city, Vrindavan as such needs no introduction. The city is overwhelmingly beautiful and lies 15 kms north of Mathura. This is once city that host around 4000 temples, probably the largest number of temples in India. . The town is well connected with Delhi, Agra and Mathura both through rail and road. The town on the whole is a reminder of the life and times of Lord Krishna. His childhood, his teachings and his ways all linger in the town. The aura of the entire town is that of peace and tranquility.

Tourist Attractions:
Bankey Bihari Temple:
This is one of the popular temples of Vrindavan which houses the sacred image of Krishna known as Thakur Ji. Devotees and pilgrims enter this pilgrimage house with garlands, flower petals. These are offered to the icon by the Brahmins. The Brahmins generally move back and forth the idol. The curtain is again drawn back with a huge applause of Thakur Ji.

Govind Dev Temple:
This is another temple situated in Vrindavan which was constructed in 1590 by Raja Man Singh. It is a seven storeyed structure built in the form of Greek Cross. It is believed that temple has utilized some of the red sand stone that has been brought for the Red fort Agra. The sand stone was denoted by Akbar for the construction of the temple.

ISCKON Temple:
This temple is 3 kms from the city. ISKCON ( International Society for Krishna Consciousness) is the society responsible for popularizing the Krishna's philosophy in the West. People generally chant " Hare Rama, Hare Krishna". The complex houses the samadi of the Swami Prubhupada. The ISCKON temple has certain private chambers that has been converted into a museums
