The city of Agra is tied up with the roads that hardly form
any pattern. The roads are irregular with lots of curves and bends
as if everything has been left to nature, no artificial hand, no
planning. Towards the south of the city precincts is the area of
Madhu Nagar situated. The Gwalior road links the place with the rest
of the city. Madhu Nagar as such constitutes the southern peripheral
area of Agra city.
The township that is Madhu Nagar is a small place with few
attractions and amenities of importance. The area houses Firoz
Khan's Tomb and that forms the primary attraction of the area. The
mausoleum belongs to Firoz Khan Khwajasarai who served under thr
mughal king, Shah Jahan. The structure was built by Firoz Khan
during his time and represents the typical mughal architecture and
style.
Madhu Nagar is provided with small traders of leather goods (shoes)
and crafts. To cater to the local population there are schools,
health clinics, small hotels and other institutes.
Bundu Katara, Shakti Nagar and Nagala Bhurisingh are nearby
localities. Uttar Pradesh State Road Corporation operates in the
vicinity of Madhu Nagar.
